The Buzzards ‘flock’ towards the bloated corpse of the dead lamb
I did a shameful thing the other day. I Dugg my own website. This has been something of a contentious issue between me and my friends; I usually take the moral high ground and argue that it’s wrong to abuse the system with such shameless self-promotion while others say that everyone does it, so stop acting like a little girl. Or words to that effect, at least.
Last night, I decided to just go for it and (what the heck) see what happens. In deference to my shame, I perhaps didn’t ‘big up’ my glorious homepage quite as much as I could have - simply referring to what might be the greatest achievement of my extended “dark period” as an ‘Arty portfolio’. It is both nothing of the sort and much more than that.
Fortunately (and much to my surprise), my initial Digg has been re-Dugg resulting in a whopping THREE Diggs for the Deadlamb Homepage. Go me. Additionally, I scored a mention on the design blog, eliteqz. Are these the first pebbles preceding an almighty landslide of Deadlamb word of mouth? Probably not, but nothing will have any impact whatsoever on my simple pleasure at such cursory recognition of my efforts.
Thank you, faceless souls of the infoweb.
